When a couple has a new baby and they choose me for their newborn session, something magical happens. I get to know them, I understand their preferences, I learn their sense of humor and our relationship grows. I get to experience the most amazing thing that happens to a family, the birth of a child, the biggest life change one can have. I absolutely love seeing their interaction, watching them bond with one another. The support of dad to mom and mom intuitively knowing baby's needs is one of the most rewarding things I could experience. I get to witness this and love with them like part of the family. I understand when their personality is truly shining on camera and when they are out of their comfort zone. On the other side of that, I get to know them enough to bring out who they really are and relax them. This is why it's so important to choose a portrait photographer who can grow with you. Every milestone, every year just gets better and better!
This family, I have photographed three times and they are very dear to me! I didn't meet them at the birth of their first child but I have seen both of their girls turn one several years apart and I have met their entire extended family. These two girls are both so full of life and character, it was such a delight to photograph them. Mom and dad are as sweet as can be and I am so honored that they continue choosing me to share in life with them. Going back through their old photos, I can see the change year after year and show them the story of their lives. This is why I do what I do.
