Congratulations Momma! You are waiting for your little one to arrive earth-side and you want all the things baby. I understand the feeling! Everything needs to be just perfect, you are glowing (or nauseated) and so ready to get this show on the road. It has been a great ride but it’s time for this journey to begin.
You have come to the right place for encouragement to prepare for motherhood. I too was once where you are and those moments are some of the best of my life. Pregnancy, not so much but the first weeks with my precious babies were the stuff dreams were made of. At that moment, all that mattered was him and me, then her and me and he and me again lol.
I want to encourage you that these days of discomfort are soon to be so over and you will be holding the real love of your life. You will be tired, so very very tired but you will be overcome with joy and peace as well. Motherhood is so much of every emotion you never knew you could feel at once. How can so much tiredness be so worth it? How can you love one tiny face with every fiber of your being in a matter of minutes? So many questions and feelings fill your mind as you rock this little one for the first weeks.
Don’t worry, you will grow to know each other. You will speak and understand the same language. Instinct is a funny thing. Hold tight to every second no matter how exhausting the nights are. It truly disappears before your eyes and all that’s left is a memory. Or a photograph. Make every single one last for eternity.
