You have heard the expression, “If what you’re doing isn’t working, try something different.” Well, I’d like to think I live my life that way and run my portrait business in the same fashion. I always have people ask for specific poses but sometimes they do not work for specific body types. We attempt those poses but I like to tweak and make minor adjustments as I see fit . This gives us that perfect shot. My goal is always to pose for body type. However, when we are carrying a tiny human inside of us our bodies change… ALOT. I am really good at thinking outside the box when posing mommas. I have heard all the stories and how you feel like you are the size of a small barn. I have been there THREE TIMES and I am very short so posing can seem problematic for ME. I want to reassure YOU, lovely Momma, I got this. I can and will pose you in the most flattering ways. The wonderful thing is no matter how big you FEEL, that is NOT how you look. With a little knowledge on posing, we can take that bump and make you own it. You need to feel beautiful, confident, strong, and powerful. Heck, you are creating a child, that’s power.
Remember, YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL. End of story.
The Experience you get here: Once you come in for your services, you will relax and decompress as you start to feel more confident. You’ll have some snacks and non-alcoholic champagne. Once we are finished with your hair and makeup, it’s enough of the relaxation and time to get down to business. I will guide you into poses that help you feel comfortable with your body and accentuate the areas that need it while minimizing the ones that don’t. The lighting also plays a huge part here, let’s not kid ourselves. It takes knowledge of light placement and all the technical stuff in order to achieve the look you want. A lot of work goes on behind the scenes before and after your session to insure the quality of the images you see at your reveal appointment.
