I LOVE when clients have deep rich tones in their skin and making it really glow is my wheelhouse. This lady below came to me for a tasteful boudoir photoshoot and she killed it. Look at her skin tone against the rich red velvet fabric. It’s so perfect in every way.

She was terrific at following instruction and this shot looks so natural because of it. None of my clients posted here are professional models FYI, even though they could be if they wanted to.

I make it a point to shoot these straight out of camera appealing enough that the clients want most of their photos when they see them at their reveal appointment. I do not edit all of them before-hand, only one as a sample. I do not over-retouch and you will look incredible simple by proper posing and lighting. The skin retouching is just an added bonus. It’s the icing on the cake. After our shoot, client selects their favorite images next day and then they place their order. I spend the next week or so retouching to perfection and then create the album or wall piece they paid for. The albums are generally back in hand within two weeks give or take a day or so.

Our Italian line does take a bit longer and oh my gosh is it ever worth the wait. We have some who wish to endure the 5 week wait time but most of our clients tend to go with the US vendor just for the sake of having these beauties in hand. If pure luxury is your thing, we do Italy, otherwise the US products are still wonderful quality and such a gorgeous gift.

Back to the subject, skin tones. I tend to match backgrounds, outfits, lighting according to complexion. All the details are discussed before-hand and clients are always blown away with the outcome. I really put in extra time and attention to details and it shows in each photograph setting itself apart from the rest.
