I had a wonderful lady, Martene come in to the studio recently and she had a vision. She had written a book about the pain in her journey to finding strength in her life. She asked me to photograph her for the cover of her book set to release around the end of 2020. She was very nervous and wasn’t quite sure what to expect, and never really like how she looked in photos. Now she has grown to really love and accept who she is. She has overcome so much that she wanted to represent both the part of herself that she had been working on and the woman she had become. We did just that.
I was excited to help her on this journey and we got some beautiful images that made her look like the warrior she is. I can’t wait to read this book she has written. We found that our lives had much in common and I am sure I will be seeing more of her. We are planning on an amazing session of her with her daughter in about a year. Funny side note, she called her daughter to help her in choosing her images for her book and all the daughter could talk about was how pretty my floors are… HAHAHA. It was all in fun.

Joy was fabulous! She was celebrating her 40th birthday as well as doing some branding photos of her doing her favorite things. She was also interested in starting a cooking blog so we did some fun stuff incorporating a few of her favorite gadgets. We ended this session in the woods in a giant fairytale dress. It was so much fun and we captured her personality so well.
